As one of Australia’s largest gold miners, our customer’s rapidly expanding operations required the installation of motor starters for their new 650kW Ball Mill motors to support their expanding operations.

Due to the harsh and often remote environments that Australian mines commonly occupy, the customer required a tailored solution that would deliver continuous performance, enhanced operations and maintenance support to maximise the lifespan of the asset.

Having previously collaborated with CSE Uniserve on several successful projects, they once again turned to our specialist team for a robust and reliable solution that would meet their demanding processes.

The Solution

CSE Uniserve provided a tailored solution with the Australian-made UniStarter® EPMA Liquid Resistance Starter, specifically designed for large Wound Rotor Motors for optimised motor control in high Starting Torque applications.

Featuring an advanced PLC platform, the UniStarter ensures optimal performance for crushing solutions, offering high starting torques and low starting currents. Its stainless steel design guarantees suitability for harsh environments, ensuring durability and reliability.

Our Liquid Resistance Starter provides smooth acceleration, minimises mechanical stress on gearboxes and drives, and reduces electrical disturbances in the network. Once installed, these starters will ensure trouble free starting of the new Ball Mills.

This solution adds to an already large installed base of products from CSE Uniserve at this site.
